After School clubs offer children supervised, structured activities directly after school. Sessions provide fun ways for children to play, learn new skills and gain fresh experiences. They can also offer great developmental benefits that will help them academically and socially.

Our after school clubs are run by staff or through some external providers. We do have a wide range of clubs available, these may be offered to different year groups depending on the activity.

In the past we have enjoyed sporting clubs such as tennis, netball, cricket and hockey. Outdoor clubs such as gardening and adventurous play. Exciting clubs like code breakers, ipad club and lego club. Lots of creative clubs in our art room and many more!

We encourage parents to select clubs that align with your child's interests and passions. Engaging in activities they enjoy will not only enhance their skills but also make the experience more rewarding and enjoyable for them. However, it is important to note that attendance in these clubs is contingent upon acceptable behaviour both during regular school hours and within the clubs themselves. Attendance at these clubs is linked closely to our behaviour for learning policy. We strive to maintain a positive and productive environment, and any disruptive behaviour will unfortunately result in the child being unable to continue participating in the club.

Once you have discussed with your child and worked out which clubs they may be interested in joining, we will open the bookings on our school gateway app. Numbers for clubs are limited and offered on a ‘first come first served’ basis. Once the bookings are live, the list of clubs available to your child’s year group will appear on your app ready for you to book for your child. As places are limited, we do ask that children only take part in 1 extra curricular club per half term unless there is notification that more places are still available by the office. This is so everybody gets the chance to take part in a club of their choice.

Additionally, we want to inform you that there may be instances when clubs need to be cancelled or places revoked at short notice. In such cases, it is crucial that parents or carers are available to collect their children from school promptly at the regular dismissal time of 3:20 PM.

Children are expected to attend every session of the club. If your child is unable to attend one night, you must inform the school office. Some of our KS2 children have permission to walk home after a club, otherwise they must be collected from the school yard. Your child will not be able to walk home without this permission. If you are unsure if you have given your child permission to walk home, please contact school.

Lunchtime clubs

As well as our after school clubs, we also offer lots of exciting lunchtime clubs and wellbeing activities for all children. Most of our wellbeing activities take place in our school hub, our other lunchtime clubs may include sporting activities and lego clubs. There is no need to sign up for any lunchtime clubs, children can simply turn up and enjoy!
