North Tyneside SCITT is an outstanding initial teacher training provider and has been established since 2004. The SCITT is led by a partnership of over 20 North Tyneside primary and first schools. It is a collaborative and collegiate partnership where nurturing and training our next generation of teachers stands at the core of our work. North Tyneside SCITT delivers outstanding Initial Teacher Training within the region. Pele Trust is the accredited entity for this ITT provision.

Our highly successful programme combines both high quality extensive classroom experience and up-to-date pedagogical theory from experts in the educational field. Our trainees benefit from one-on-one mentorship with experienced school mentors and educators, providing invaluable guidance and support throughout their training journey. This personalised approach ensures that every aspiring trainee receives the attention and resources needed to excel during their training and beyond into successful employment. With Great North SCITT, you gain Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), accredited by Northumbria University.
